Adding the GDPR Consent Field:

  • In the form builder interface of MakeForms, either search for “GDPR” or scroll down to the bottom of the field options.
  • Select the “GDPR Agreement Field” to add it to your form.

Customizing Consent Text:

  • Directly in the field, input the consent text, such as “I consent for MakeForms to contact me for a product demo and store my data as per their privacy policy.”
  • You can apply formatting options like bold, italic, and underline to emphasize certain parts of your consent text.

Linking to Privacy Policy:

  • Provide a direct hyperlink to your privacy policy, enabling users to easily access and review your data handling practices before giving their consent.

Enforcing Reading for Compliance:

  • Enable the option to require users to scroll through the entire legal content before the checkbox becomes selectable.
  • This ensures that users are fully informed before giving their consent.

Mandatory Acceptance:

  • Configure the field to prevent form submission unless the user has checked the “I consent” box, reinforcing the requirement for explicit consent.
